Stations of the Cross.
XII- Jesus Dies on the Cross. Jesus is dead. From his heart, pierced by the lance of the Roman soldier, flow blood and water.

“ Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing.” As Jesus hung on the cross, he forgave the soldiers who had crucified him, and prayed for his mother and friends.

The place where Jesus was crucified is called Golgotha (from the Aramaic word for “skull”). Our Lord Jesus, after three hours of agony on the cross, abandoned himself to the weight of his body, bowed his head and died.
